Swelling or thickening of parts of the breast
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Each year, approximately
55,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. This occurs when cells begin to grow and
multiply abnormally, forming a tumor that can sometimes be felt as a lump under the skin
or detected through imaging tests. Breast cancer is categorized into invasive or
non-invasive (in-situ) types.
Invasive Breast Cancer: This type occurs when cancer cells spread outside the
milk ducts
or lobules where they originated, invading surrounding breast tissue.
Non-Invasive Breast Cancer (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ): This is the earliest form
of
breast cancer, typically found during routine breast screenings.
Symptoms of breast cancer can vary from person to person.
To detect
breast
cancer at an early stage, it is crucial to perform self-examinations.

Breast cancer can be divided into four stages
Stage I: This is the early stage of breast cancer where the tumors are very small.
Stage II: These tumors are larger and have just started to spread to nearby lymph nodes.
Stage III: Tumors in this stage are larger than 5 cm and are growing around the lymph nodes.
Stage IV: These tumors originated in the breast and have now spread to other parts of the body, such as the lungs, bones, brain, and liver.
